Founding Co-Owner | Moore Accounting Group

Tara Moore is a founding co-owner of Moore Accounting Group and Certified Public Accountant with more than two decades of accounting and financial leadership experience across with a unique combination of restaurant accounting experience and many other industries, such as real estate, property management and financial operations.

Tara began her accounting career in Charleston, South Carolina, working for a restaurant management group, where she developed firsthand experience with the financial side of restaurant operations. That foundation gave her an understanding of the challenges restaurant owners face—from maintaining accurate books and managing expenses to understanding financial performance and having reliable numbers available when important decisions need to be made.

After earning her MBA from The Citadel and obtaining her CPA license, Tara expanded her career into real estate, development, construction, and property management accounting. She has held senior financial leadership positions, including serving as CFO for Madison Capital Group and Wicker Park Capital Management. Since July 2025, Tara has worked with Palm Property Management, a residential property management company.

Although her career has taken her through several areas of accounting, Tara's restaurant accounting roots ultimately helped shape the focus of Moore Accounting Group.

Today, Tara brings CPA-level expertise and CFO-level financial experience to restaurant owners who want more than basic bookkeeping. Moore Accounting Group specializes in helping restaurants maintain accurate financial records, understand their numbers, and build stronger financial systems behind their businesses.

Tara understands that restaurant owners should be able to focus on their guests, employees, and operations without spending their nights trying to figure out QuickBooks. Her goal is to provide restaurant owners with dependable bookkeeping and financial reporting—and, most importantly, the confidence that comes from knowing exactly where their business stands financially.



Tara holds a finance/accounting degree from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from The Citadel. She is a native of West Virginia and resides in Savannah, GA (hopefully changing!) with her husband.
